Peer Mentoring
Peer mentoring is at the center of the work we do in Thrive Center. Mentoring is a great way to connect with other students, learn tips and tricks from others who have been in your shoes, build community with other students, and find your place at the University of Arizona.
Summer Bridge
The New Start Summer Program allows new Wildcats to get a head start on their college degree, get to know the University of Arizona campus, and meet new people. Complete 6-7 units before your fall semester, receive knowledge and resources with Peer Mentors, and build your network of friends and contacts. This program is designed for incoming first-year students who have just finished high school.
First-Year
The first-year experience focuses on providing you with the resources and support to THRIVE at the University of Arizona. Through one-on-one support from a peer and community building with your fellow Wildcats, you will be set up to navigate and excel through your first year of college! The first-year experience also offers mentoring for first-year students, mentoring with the Cultural and Resource Centers, and major-specific mentoring.
Second-Year & Beyond
Looking for support throughout your undergraduate experience? Our second year and beyond experience provides you with a support network to continue THRIVING at the University of Arizona. Though continued one-on-one support, group learning opportunities, and fun community events, we support you as a student, as a person, and as a professional as you work towards graduating! The second year and beyond component offers mentoring to second-year students and transfer students.
